Artist Biography

Marina Baumann has lived in Wisconsin for 21 years and resides in Kewaskum, WI.  She graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art with a focus in Studio Art. Her work concentrates on Jewelry and Metalsmithing practices and techniques with a particular love of casting. She works at a local Veterinary Clinic where she has been for 6 years now. Her experience with veterinary medicine fuels the consistent incorporation of animals, oddities, and her love of nature into her artwork. Baumann continues to explore new processes and enjoys figuring out how to incorporate new knowledge with existing skills. Next, Baumann plans to learn the art of taxidermy. She wants to contribute to the restoration of existing mounts and use unwanted taxidermy pieces within her creations. Baumann’s ultimate goal is to continue to learn new processes to expand on her existing skills to create unique and meaningful work.
